Foundation Programme (FP)
Yorkshire and Humber Foundation School is part of Health Education England Yorkshire and Humber.
Yorkshire and Humber Foundation School is split into three regions:
- North Yorkshire and East Coast
- South Yorkshire
- West Yorkshire
Once accepted into Yorkshire and Humber Foundation School, applicants apply to regions during the group preferencing stage before programme preferencing.
Specialised/Academic Foundation Programme (SFP/AFP)
Yorkshire and Humber Academic Foundation Programme is managed by Health Education England Yorkshire and Humber.
F1 year is a standard clinical year and F2 year includes a 4 month academic post alongside two other 4 month clinical posts. Posts are available in either medical education or academic research.
In North Yorkshire and East Coast, AFP is associated with Hull York Medical School (HYMS).
In South Yorkshire, AFP is associated with University of Sheffield Medical School.
In West Yorkshire, AFP is associated with University of Leeds.
