For AFP recruitment, Peninsula Foundation School and Severn Foundation School act as one unit of application jointly known as ‘South West’.

All academic posts are part of the University of Bristol. AFP doctors have a 4 month protected academic block in their F2 year with one day a week of clinical work. In the other two 4 month blocks, they have 1 day a week of academic time.
